More Than a Game. A Way of Life. The Ernie Banks “Let’s Play Two” Foundation exists to carry forward the values that defined Ernie Banks optimism, discipline, humility, and service to others. This foundation is not about nostalgia. It’s about preparing the next generation to show up, work hard, and lead with character on the field and in life. The Ernie Banks “Let’s Play Two” Foundation advances mentorship, life preparation, and community service by partnering with mission-aligned organizations that equip youth and communities to lead with integrity, discipline, optimism, and respect.

Why We Exist The mission of the Ernie Banks “Let’s Play Two” Foundation is to advance mentorship, life preparation, and community service by partnering with mission aligned organizations that equip youth and communities to lead with integrity, discipline, optimism, and respect. We strengthen and support programs that build character, responsibility, and long-term opportunity consistent with the values exemplified by Ernie Banks. We carry forward the belief that effort matters more than applause, preparation matters more than talent, and integrity should never be optional. Through strategic partnerships, we invest in programs that build confidence, responsibility, and long-term opportunity.

Regina Rice is the Founder and Chairwoman of Ernie Banks “Let’s Play Two” Foundation, where she provides leadership and strategic direction in support of the Foundation’s mission to promote mentorship, character, and community impact inspired by the legacy of Ernie Banks.
Kathleen Chitwood Director AND Vice-Treasurer
Kathleen Chitwood serves as Director/Vice-Treasurer and supports the financial integrity, accountability, and administrative operations of the Foundation and serves as backup financial oversight support.
Layla Bitoy-Dillon Director of Community Relations
Layla Bitoy-Dillon serves as Director of Community Relations for the Foundation. She helps build meaningful relationships within the community and supports initiatives that connect youth and families to positive mentorship and development opportunities.

Each board member brings unique experience, professional expertise, and a passion for serving others, while remaining focused on honoring the legacy of one of baseball’s most beloved ambassadors.
KATHY ABRY DIRECTOR OF GRANTS & DONATIONS AND SECRETARY
Kathy Abry serves as Director of Grants & Donations and Secretary of Ernie Banks “Let’s Play Two” Foundation. She oversees the Foundation's governance records and administrative operations while leading efforts to identify and secure grant funding, corporate support, and charitable contributions.
